"Egypt's state-run newspaper, Al-Ahram described President Mohamed Morsi's decision not to replace Prosecutor General Abdel-Meguid Mahmoud as a "victory for the judiciary over the presidency".
The president ( طرطور) changed his mind after meeting the country's most-senior lawyer.
