Tony, I just went to Mohammed Omer's website (rafahtoday.org) where we get our pics of Israeli attacks on Gaza. I found this message:
Yesterday Mohammed was struck with shrapnel as he was taking those photographs. Thank God he was wearing a bullet-proof vest. [The webmaster]
I was looking at his website closely, his younger bother was killed by the Israeli Occupation Forces a few years back. We are lucky to have Mohammed alive, his pictures are accessed by many people and spread far and wide as a testament to Israeli atrocities.

The Israelis are doing exactly what the US has done and is doing in Iraq: kill the journalists and the photographers first. In Fallujah not a single reporter was allowed to stay before the US attack levelled that city. Usrael does not want the word to get out, whether in Iraq, Lebanon or Palestine. But it is fighting a futile battle; in this day and age the word and the picture will get out. We are playing our little part.
Even Channel 4 News - head and shoulders above the rest of the news services in Britain, or anywhere else - is reporting on Lebanon - from Haifa! That said, they do at least have someone on the ground in Lebanon. But for how much longer?
