"More than
100,000 Syrians are reportedly staying in Jordan after having fled the violence in their home country, yet the Jordanian authorities still do not recognise them as refugees.
One heavily guarded complex in the town of Ramtha is currently housing more than 1,000 Syrians, but the Jordanian government has kept the place completely
off-limits to journalists.
Jordan does not want relations with Syria to turn more sour than they already are.
