Yemeni Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Tawakkol Karaman called on the Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi to exercise his presidential duties from the city of Aden where he arrived on Saturday.
Karaman stressed that Hadi will continue to be the country's legitimate president until a new presidential council and transitional government are formed by the February Revolution leaders.
The activist described the recent developments in Yemen as a "Persian occupation carried out by a Shia Houthi militia who are politically and militarily affiliated to Iran".
Karaman considered Houthi rebels' control of the capital Sanaa an attempt by Iran to control the region and surround Gulf States, mainly Saudi Arabia.
She appealed to the Yemeni people to continue the revolutionary movement with demonstrations and protests in the public squares until the fall of the "Persian occupation of Yemen" and the Houthi group return to their place as part of the Yemeni people and not as their rulers.
