Assad Praises Obama’s Dialogue Efforts

Al-Manar

"29/05/2009 Syrian President Bashar Assad praised his US counterpart Barack Obama's policy for dialogue and told two U.S. lawmakers his country is hoping for better relations with Washington.....

Obama's new top Middle East envoy, Jeffrey Feltman [COMMENT: Zionist, former U.S. ambassador to Lebanon, and hated in Lebanon for his Israeli stand], visited Syria in March in what was the first high-level US trip in four years. He returned earlier this month for further meetings, describing them as constructive and vowing to pursue dialogue. Other congressional delegations have also visited Syria."
