OCHA's new report, “Locked In”: The Humanitarian Impact of Two Years of Blockade on the Gaza Strip.

. The daily average truckload entering Gaza since the blockade (112) constitutes 1/5 of the comparable figure (583) in the period before the blockade (Jan-May 2007).
· Pre-blockade exports consisted of 1,090 truckloads per month (Jan.-May 2007). During two years of the blockade, all exports have been banned, except for 147 truckloads, consisting of cut flowers and strawberries.
. 120,000 private sector jobs have been lost.
. 80 million liters of raw or partially-treated sewage are discharged daily into the environment as a result of lack of maintenance and upgrading of the wastewater infrastructure.
