July 12, 2010- A group of independent activists organized a direct action on a number of touristic resorts that adopt racist policies towards migrant workers in Lebanon on the basis of color, race, and class. Some of these resorts had put up signs asking its customers not to bring radio, food and maids to the resort.
After conducting several field researches and verifying the rules and procedures of the resorts, activists went to the resorts identified as the most racist accompanied by an activist of the Madagascari citizenship. The woman was denied entry by the administration of the resort and no valid reasons were provided.
"We have monitored more than 15 resorts that follow the same traditions and practices of racism against non-whites in Lebanon, reminiscent of the era of apartheid in South Africa, blatant racism in the United States," said the campaign's spokesperson at IndyACT, Aimee Razanjay. "The action today is the beginning of a series similar actions to monitor and document such practices and to inform the Lebanese society of the extent of their contribution to perpetuating the racist system in Lebanon," added Aimee.

"لم يخطر في بالنا قط ان يقوم الجنرال يوفال ديسكين رئيس جهاز الامن الداخلي الاسرائيلي (شاباك) بزيارة مقر قوات الأمن الفلسطينية في مدينة جنين، ويقضي يوماً كاملاً في ضيافة ألويتها وعقدائها وكوادرها كضيف عزيز يفرش له السجاد الأحمر، ولكن في هذا الزمن السيئ كل شيء جائز.
نعرف جيداً ان هناك تنسيقاً أمنياً بين أجهزة الأمن الاسرائيلية ونظيرتها الفلسطينية، مثلما نعرف ايضاً ان السلطة الفلسطينية منبثقة من رحم الاحتلال الاسرائيلي، ولكن ان يتطور هذا التنسيق الذي هو خطيئة في حد ذاته، الى درجة الاندماج الكامل، فهذا امر يصعب تصوره بالنسبة الينا على الأقل.
السؤال الذي يطرح نفسه، بكل قوة، هو عن موقف حركة 'التحرير' الوطني الفلسطيني 'فتح' من هذه المسألة، وهل تقر مثل هذا التنسيق الأمني، وهذه الزيارة، لمقر قوات من المفترض انها تتكون من المنتمين اليها، ومن قبل قائد جهاز أمني اسرائيلي، يعتقل الآلاف من مناضليها، ويخضعهم لتعذيب نفسي وجسدي، ويوفر الحماية للمستوطنين الذين يسرقون الارض والماء والهواء، ويعتدون بصفة دورية على الأهالي، وآخر اعتداءاتهم تمثل في اقدام مستوطن على قتل أحد المواطنين الفلسطينيين دهساً؟
السؤال الآخر الذي يتفرع عن السؤال الأول، هو عما اذا كانت هذه القوات تخضع للجنة المركزية لحركة 'فتح' في الاساس، وعما اذا كانت اللجنة تعلم مسبقاً بهذه الزيارة وزيارات سابقة مماثلة، وحجم التعاون بين جهازي الأمن في البلدين؟
ربما يجادل البعض بأن اتفاقات اوسلو نصت على التنسيق الامني بين قوات الأمن الفلسطينية ونظيرتها الاسرائيلية، ولكن يمكن تفنيد هذه النقطة والرد عليها بالقول، ان هذه الاتفاقات نصت ايضاً على الانسحاب الاسرائيلي الكامل من الاراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة، وقيام الدولة الفلسطينية المستقلة بعد خمس سنوات من توقيعها.
فلماذا يتم التمسك بالتنسيق الأمني فقط، والنصوص المتعلقة به في الاتفاقية، واسقاط النصوص والمواد الأخرى الملزمة لاسرائيل، مثل الانسحاب وقيام الدولة المستقلة؟
ندرك جيداً اننا لن نتلقى أي اجابات من المسؤولين في السلطة حول هذه الاسئلة والكثير غيرها، ولا نشك مطلقاً في ان الغالبية الساحقة من كوادر 'فتح' الشرفاء يطرحون الاسئلة نفسها، ويشعرون بالمرارة والغضب في الوقت نفسه، لان مثل هذه الجرائم ترتكب باسمهم واسم تنظيمهم الذي حمل راية النضال الفلسطيني لأكثر من أربعين عاماً، وقدم آلاف الشهداء وعشرات الآلاف من الأسرى والجرحى على درب التحرير والاستقلال.
زيارة ديسكين لمقر قوات الامن الفلسطينية في مدينة جنين التي كانت نموذجاً في المقاومة تشكل اهانة لكل فلسطيني، وتطرح علامة استفهام كبيرة حول ما اذا كانت قوات الأمن هذه فلسطينية الهوية في الاساس، لانه لم يحدث في التاريخ ان تحولت حركة تحرير الى اداة من ادوات الاحتلال الامنية.
ومن المفارقة ان انباء هذه الزيارة خرجت الى العلن عبر الاعلام الاسرائيلي ومطبوعاته، والا لما عرفنا بها، لأن الطرف الفلسطيني يخفي مثل هذه المعلومات عن ابناء شعبه، في اطار سياساته في التعتيم والتضليل، ولا نستغرب ان تكون زيارة ديسكين هذه هي قمة جبل الجليد، وان هناك اشياء اخرى اكثر خطورة ترتكب باسم الشعب الفلسطيني وضد ابناء الشعب الفلسطيني نفسه وقضيته تحت مسميات التنسيق الأمني واللجنة الرباعية وسراب السلام.

"Long missing Iranian scientist Shahram Amiri has finally emerged publicly after over a year of speculation as to his whereabouts. Incredibly enough, and giving a big boost to those who claimed he was kidnapped by Western spy agencies, Amiri showed up at the door of the Pakistani Embassy in Washington DC (which houses the Iranian interest section) asking for help in returning to Iran.

Incredibly enough, and giving a big boost to those who claimed he was kidnapped by Western spy agencies, Amiri showed up at the door of the Pakistani Embassy in Washington DC (which houses the Iranian interest section) asking for help in returning to Iran.
Amiri, a nuclear scientist at a Tehran university, disappeared last summer during his pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia. Iranian officials claimed Amiri had been kidnapped by the United States and with the help of Saudi Arabia. For months the US State Department declined having ever heard of the incident.
But earlier this year media reports, citing unnamed US officials, claimed that Amiri had “defected” and has helping the CIA to uncover the truth behind Iran’s civilian nuclear program.
This was accepted as the truth until this summer, when videos started to emerge of Amiri claiming he was being held against his will. Somehow it seems Amiri managed to make his way across the US and arrive safely at the Pakistani embassy.
The revelation is a significant embarrassment for the US on a couple of levels, as it shows not only that they apparently did kidnap the scientist but that they lied about it. The US official response at the moment is that Amiri was “just visiting” the United States for the last 14 months, which does not, of course, explain why he is hiding in an embassy begging for help to leave the country and return to his homeland.
State Department officials insist that Amiri is “obviously free to leave” the country whenever he wants. Though the US could have in practice kept Amiri trapped in the Pakistani embassy indefinitely, the political cost of doing so likely would have been significant."
Oldest written document is found in Jerusalem, predates Hebrew conquest
A tiny clay fragment - dating from the 14th century B.C.E. - that was found in excavations outside Jerusalem's Old City walls contains the oldest written document ever found in Jerusalem, say researchers at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. The find, believed to be part of a tablet from a royal (Canaanite) archives, further testifies to the importance of Jerusalem as a major city in the Late Bronze Age, long before its conquest by King David, they say.
Al-Jazeera Video: Turkish group dismisses Israeli report on Gaza flotilla raid
"A group known as the "Free Gaza Flotilla" has dismissed the Israeli military's probe into the May 31 deadly raid on the aid convoy which killed nine people.

Rumblings Rise Between Hezbollah and Israel

"RAMALLAH, Jul 12, 2010 (IPS) - Israeli intelligence has warned that a new war with Hezbollah on Israel's northern border with Lebanon cannot be ruled out, following heightened tensions between United Nations peacekeeping forces and Hezbollah supporters in the south of Lebanon.
"Israel has to be ready for any sudden provocation or outbreak of hostilities," Dan Diker from the Jerusalem Centre for Public Affairs tells IPS. "The same way the 2006 Israel-Lebanon war was triggered over Hezbollah capturing Israeli soldiers."
In 2006 Hezbollah guerillas captured several Israeli soldiers after laying ambush along the border. This led to the second Israel-Lebanon war which lasted just over a month until UN Resolution 1701 brought hostilities to an end.
Dr Samir Awad from Birzeit University near Ramallah, however, thinks the possibility of a military confrontation in the near future is slim, and that the current flare-up has more to do with internal Lebanese politics.
"Neither side wants war at this stage. Both Israel and Hezbollah are unwilling to pay the high price of a new and bloody conflict. The events in the south are related to a power struggle in the Lebanese government," Awad tells IPS.....
Relations between various sects in the Lebanese army have worsened as the army has tried to confront Hezbollah guerillas. Many officers in the Lebanese army are Shia, and sympathetic to Hezbollah.
"Hezbollah has managed to hold on to its weapons despite Resolution 1701," says Awad. "It has also managed to win support away from the March 14 governing coalition, led by the pro-Western Saad Hariri.
"Moreover, it continues to successfully portray itself as Lebanese liberator due to Israel's ongoing occupation of the Shebaa Farms and the northern part of Ghajar Village."......"

More than 40 countries now operate drones, many of them made in Israel, although so far only the Israeli and US armies have deployed them as remote-controlled killing machines. Israeli drones are being widely used in Afghanistan.....
Despite its diplomatic crisis with Ankara, Israel was reported last month to have completed a deal selling a fleet of 10 Herons to the Turkish army for $185 million."

Egyptian Islamists have said they want to censor "salacious" passages from the One Thousand and One Nights, one of the Muslim world's priceless literary works. This is the same country whose prelates once ordered a university professor to divorce his wife because he had dared to suggest a reinterpretation of the Koran.
Ayman Abdel Hakeem, a member of the "Islamist Lawyers without Shackles" group, wants to censor the tales told in the Arabian Nights because the epic "contains profanities which cannot be acceptable in Egyptian society." The very idea of an insatiable woman offends him. "We understand that this kind of literature is acceptable in the West, but here we have a different culture" he is reported as saying.....
Saudi Arabia, too, is just now bound up in a "fatwa" war by ulemas who are variously giving or condemning new religious rulings....

Minister Seeks to Punish Boycott Supporters

"Hundreds of Israeli college professors have signed a petition accusing the education minister of endangering academic freedoms after he threatened to “punish” any lecturer or institution that supports a boycott of Israel.
The backlash against Gideon Saar, a member of the prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party, comes after a series of moves suggesting he is trying to stamp a more stridently right-wing agenda on the Israeli education system.
The education minister has outraged the 540 professors who signed the petition by his open backing of a nationalist youth movement, Im Tirtzu, which demands that teachers be required to prove their commitment to right-wing Zionism....
In a further sign of what Prof Gordon and others have labelled a McCarthyite climate, MPs in the parliamentary education committee -- which has come to closely reflect Mr Saar’s views -- summoned for questioning two head teachers of prestigious schools after they criticised official policies.
One, Ram Cohen, has condemned Israel’s occupation of the Palestinians, while the other, Zeev Dagani, has spoken against the programme to send army officers into classrooms to encourage pupils to enlist.
Mr Dagani was the only head teacher in the 270 selected schools to reject the programme, saying he opposed “the blurring of boundaries when officers come and teach the teachers how to educate”. He subsequently received a flood of death threats......"

By 2011, Canadians will have spent an estimated $18.1 billion on Afghanistan, $1,500 per household.
The U.S. Congress, which alone can declare and fund war, shamefully allowed U.S. presidents George W. Bush and Obama to usurp this power. A majority of Americans now oppose this imperial misadventure. Though politicians fear opposing the war lest they be accused of “betraying our soldiers,” dissent is breaking into the open.
Last week, Republican National Committee chairman Michael Steele let the cat out of the bag, admitting the Afghan war was not winnable. War-loving Republicans erupted in rage, all but accusing Steele of high treason. Many of Steele’s most hawkish Republican critics had, like Bush and Dick Cheney, dodged real military service during the Vietnam War.....
The heretical Republican Steele was speaking truth when he said this ugly, pointless war is unwinnable. But Washington’s imperial impulses continue. Too many political careers in the U.S., Canada and Europe hang on this misbegotten war. So, too, does the fate of the obsolete NATO alliance that may well meet its Waterloo in the hills of Afghanistan."

Al-Jazeera Video: Gaza farmers risk being shot
"As a Libyan backed aid ship sails for the Gaza Strip, another group of international activists has been defying the blockade, but this time on the land.
Foreigners acting as human shields have been helping farmers in Gaza harvest their crops.
About 30 per cent of Gaza's arable land is on the border with Israel and the area has been declared a buffer zone by the Israeli military.
Palestinian farmers, thus, risk being shot for working their fields.

Hezbollah chief's speeches sway Israeli opinion more than any Arab leader
Hassan Nasrallah is the first Arab leader in 30 years to affect the Israeli public through his rhetoric, according to military intelligence report.

"A high-ranking Israeli intelligence officer says that Hezbollah leader Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah was the first Arab leader in 30 years who, through his speeches, had the potential to affect the Israeli public. The officer, whose last name cannot be disclosed, studied Nasrallah's speeches during the Second Lebanon War, which began four years ago today, in the course of graduate studies at the University of Haifa.
Colonel Ronen, the chief intelligence officer for the Central Command of the Israel Defense Forces, previously held senior positions in the research division of Military Intelligence. The study analyzed 10 speeches by Nasrallah that were broadcast during the 34 days of warfare. Nasrallah's only public press conference during the war was on the first day of war, immediately following the abduction of IDF reservists Eldad Regev and Ehud Goldwasser. After that he remained in bunkers, fearing an Israeli assassination attempt, and recorded speeches that were later broadcast by Arab television networks....

"12/07/2010 Hezbollah’s top official in southern Lebanon Sheikh Nabil Qawouk on Sunday responded to Israeli threats, by warning that the Resistance, too, has list of Israeli targets in any future war. "Let Israeli leaders know that the Resistance, too, has a bank full of targets", Sheikh Qawouk said.
“The Israelis know well that all these threats and intimidations and maneuvers will cease to exit in the face of Resistance equations and surprises in any coming war.” Sheikh Qawouk said statements by Israeli Army Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi have "exposed" those involved in plans to target the Resistance at the political and media levels.
"They also revealed the scheme that is being prepared internationally and regionally and perhaps locally to target the Resistance," he said......
Israel has hinted that it would attack locations where it said there was evidence of Hezbollah “stockpiling weapons in towns and villages near the border.”
Security sources told Israel radio that in case of a deterioration in the situation, Israel would give an ultimatum for residents of the south to leave their homes to pave way for an attack on what the Zionist entity claims to be depots inside villages.
Earlier in the week, the Israeli military published a series of aerial photographs of south Lebanon showing the alleged depots. The images and maps show what the military says are bunkers and arms caches located in the middle of al-Khiam village, only four kilometers from the Lebanese border with Palestine."

زيارة بنيامين نتنياهو رئيس الوزراء الاسرائيلي الى منتجع شرم الشيخ غدا، ولقاؤه مع الرئيس مبارك، يأتيان في السياق نفسه، فالرجل يعيش عزلة دولية، وحربا باردة مع تركيا ورئيس وزرائها رجب طيب اردوغان، ومواجهات يمكن ان تتحول الى دموية، مع سفن اساطيل حرية متعددة الجنسيات تتدفق الى شواطئ قطاع غزة لكسر الحصار المفروض عليه، ولهذا لم يجد مناصا من اللجوء الى صديقه وحليفه الرئيس مبارك، وطوق نجاته، 'فالصديق في وقت الضيق'.
نتنياهو ذهب الى واشنطن، والتقى الرئيس باراك اوباما الذي احسن استقباله، وانتزع منه، اي من الرئيس اوباما، تأييدا كبيرا لمطلبه في استئناف المفاوضات المباشرة مع السلطة الفلسطينية ورئيسها، ولم يبق عليه الا الحصول على التأييد نفسه من الرئيس مبارك الذي 'يمون' على الرئيس عباس، حيث كلمته لدى الاخير لا ترد.
الرئيس عباس سيشد الرحال الى شرم الشيخ يوم الاربعاء، اي في اليوم التالي لزيارة نتنياهو، تلبية للرئيس مبارك، وهو الآخر يريد 'مخرجا'، فقد وافق على العودة الى مائدة المفاوضات المباشرة بعد المكالمة الهاتفية التي تلقاها من الرئيس اوباما قبل ثلاثة ايام، متخليا عن شروطه التي كررها دائما بانه لن يعود الى المفاوضات المباشرة الا بعد احراز تقدم في المفاوضات غير المباشرة.
المفاوضات غير المباشرة لم تحقق اي تقدم، لسبب بسيط وهو ان نتنياهو لا يريدها، ويتطلع الى الاولى خاصة في الوقت الراهن، لاحراج رئيس الوزراء التركي، من خلال القول انه لا توجد اي مشكلة بينه (اي نتنياهو) والطرف الفلسطيني، فها هو يعود الى المفاوضات مجددا، ويقدم بعض التنازلات 'التجميلية' مثل ازالة بعض الحواجز، و'تخفيف' الحصار على قطاع غزة، وفتح بعض مخافر السلطة في المنطقة 'ب'، وربما تمديد فترة تجميد الاستيطان في الضفة بضعة اشهر ريثما تمر العاصفة الحالية.

بمعنى آخر، يريد نتنياهو تأليب الرأي العام التركي، ودعم المعارضة العلمانية فيه ضد حكومة اردوغان، من خلال تصويرها على انها فلسطينية اكثر من الفلسطينيين انفسهم، ولا بد ان هذا التوجه يلقى هوى عند الرئيس مبارك الذي عبرت صحافته عن انزعاجه الشديد من بروز الدور التركي، من خلال مقالاتها التشهيرية، بل والتشكيكية بهذا الحماس التركي لرفع الحصار عن قطاع غزة، واجبار اسرائيل على الاعتذار رسميا عن مجزرتها فوق ظهر السفينة مرمرة، وارغامها على القبول بلجنة تحقيق دولية.
الرئيس عباس بدأ اعداد سيناريو التراجع، والتمهيد للعودة الى المفاوضات المباشرة دون شروط. فقد دعا الى اجتماع مشترك برئاسته لكل من اعضاء اللجنة التنفيذية للمنظمة واللجنة المركزية لحركة 'فتح' في مطلع الاسبوع المقبل، ثم الى اجتماع اوسع للمجلس الثوري لحركة 'فتح'، وستصدر قرارات بمباركة العودة الى المفاوضات المباشرة مشروطة بالموافقة العربية، وهنا مربط الفرس.
الرئيس مبارك سيتعهد بتوفير الغطاء العربي للمفاوضات المباشرة تماما مثلما فعل في المفاوضات غير المباشرة، فالسيد احمد ابو الغيط وزير الخارجية المصري جاهز لاعطاء الضوء الاخضر في هذا الخصوص للسيد عمرو موسى امين عام جامعة الدول العربية للقيام بالواجب على اكمل وجه.
السيد عمرو موسى سيعد 'فتوى' اخرى ومرة اخرى على غرار 'فتوى' اصدرها سابقا لتبرير العودة الى المفاوضات غير المباشرة رغم سقوط شرط تجميد الاستيطان في القدس المحتلة، وسيميط اللثام عنها في اجتماع لجنة المتابعة العربية لمبادرة السلام العربية التي ومن محاسن الصدف ستعقد في التاسع والعشرين من الشهر الحالي.
ومن محاسن الصدف ايضا ان السناتور جورج ميتشل الذي قاد المفاوضات غير المباشرة لخمس جولات، سيصل الى رام الله وتل ابيب، في الايام القليلة المقبلة لتهيئة المسرح للمفاوضات المباشرة، ووضع الرتوش اللوجستية النهائية لبدئها، وتحديد الزمان والمكان.

ما نريد قوله ان 'الطبخة' اعدت في واشنطن بين نتنياهو واوباما، وادوار العرب فيها ستكون مثل دور 'الكومبارس' لا اكثر ولا اقل، فعندما 'بشّر' نتنياهو حلفاءه اليهود اثناء اجتماعه بهم في نيويورك بان المفاوضات المباشرة باتت على الابواب، وقريبة جدا، فإنه يعني ما يقول، ويعرف ان معسكر الاعتدال العربي، بما فيه السلطة ورئيسها، سيقولون 'سمعا وطاعة'.
نتنياهو يريد اجهاض 'الصحوة' التركية، وتنفيس حالة الغضب التي تعم العالم حاليا بسبب جرائم اسرائيل في قطاع غزة، ومجزرتها على ظهر سفن اسطول الحرية، ويبدو انه سيحقق نجاحا كبيرا في مسعاه هذا بفضل الهوان الرسمي العربي. فهو يعرف ان المواقف العربية المتشددة شكلية لا تعمر طويلا، وغالبا ما تسقط وتتناثر اشلاء مع اول هبة ريح امريكية، وهناك العديد من الامثلة عن هذه التراجعات العربية المهينة لا يتسع المجال لسردها.
ومن المفارقة ان مسؤولين امريكيين داخل الادارة وخارجها، طالبوا السلطة الفلسطينية وبعض المسؤولين العرب بالتشدد في مواقفهم تجاه اسرائيل لمساعدة اوباما في الضغط عليها اثناء تصديه لنتنياهو في اللقاء الاول، ولكن هؤلاء لم يلبوا هذا الطلب، حتى ان السيد سلام فياض رئيس الوزراء الفلسطيني قرر ان يقدم هدية قيمة لنتنياهو قبل لقائه الرئيس اوباما الاخير باجتماعه في القدس المحتلة مع ايهود باراك وزير الدفاع لارسال رسالة للادارة الامريكية بانه لا يوجد خلاف بين هذه الحكومة اليمينية المتطرفة والجانب الفلسطيني، 'والامور سمن على عسل' ولا داعي لاي ضغوط على نتنياهو فالرجل صديق للفلسطينيين متعطش للسلام معهم.

نجد لزاما علينا ان نلفت الانتباه الى عدة نقاط اساسية قبل بدء المفاوضات المباشرة، وهي ان الرئيس الفلسطيني محمود عباس لا يتمتع بالتفويض او الشرعية لتمثيل الشعب الفلسطيني في هذه المفاوضات، والتوصل الى اتفاق مع الاسرائيليين، لان ولايته انتهت قبل عام ونصف العام، واللجنة التنفيذية لمنظمة التحرير الفلسطينية منتهية الصلاحية، وكذلك الحال بالنسبة للوزارة ورئيسها سلام فياض.
تمثيل الشعب الفلسطيني في مفاوضات الحل النهائي او الوصول الى دولة مستقلة يتطلب توافقا فلسطينيا، ومرجعية شرعية منتخبة، وهذا غير متوفر حاليا، ولا يجوز ان يقرر بضعة اشخاص مصير شعب والتحدث باسمه، في ظل غياب كامل للشفافية والمحاسبة من قبل المؤسسات الشرعية المنتخبة.
الممثل الحقيقي للشعب الفلسطيني هو الذي يساهم في عزلة اسرائيل، وتشديد الخناق عليها اقليميا ودوليا، وفضح جرائمها، والانتصار لدماء ضحايا مجازرها، اما من يلقي لها طوق النجاة، ويكسر عزلتها فلا يمكن ان يتحدث باسم هذا الشعب او يتشرف بتمثيله والتوصل الى اي اتفاقات باسمه.

ومن محاسن الصدف ايضا ان السناتور جورج ميتشل الذي قاد المفاوضات غير المباشرة لخمس جولات، سيصل الى رام الله وتل ابيب، في الايام القليلة المقبلة لتهيئة المسرح للمفاوضات المباشرة، ووضع الرتوش اللوجستية النهائية لبدئها، وتحديد الزمان والمكان.

ما نريد قوله ان 'الطبخة' اعدت في واشنطن بين نتنياهو واوباما، وادوار العرب فيها ستكون مثل دور 'الكومبارس' لا اكثر ولا اقل، فعندما 'بشّر' نتنياهو حلفاءه اليهود اثناء اجتماعه بهم في نيويورك بان المفاوضات المباشرة باتت على الابواب، وقريبة جدا، فإنه يعني ما يقول، ويعرف ان معسكر الاعتدال العربي، بما فيه السلطة ورئيسها، سيقولون 'سمعا وطاعة'.
نتنياهو يريد اجهاض 'الصحوة' التركية، وتنفيس حالة الغضب التي تعم العالم حاليا بسبب جرائم اسرائيل في قطاع غزة، ومجزرتها على ظهر سفن اسطول الحرية، ويبدو انه سيحقق نجاحا كبيرا في مسعاه هذا بفضل الهوان الرسمي العربي. فهو يعرف ان المواقف العربية المتشددة شكلية لا تعمر طويلا، وغالبا ما تسقط وتتناثر اشلاء مع اول هبة ريح امريكية، وهناك العديد من الامثلة عن هذه التراجعات العربية المهينة لا يتسع المجال لسردها.
ومن المفارقة ان مسؤولين امريكيين داخل الادارة وخارجها، طالبوا السلطة الفلسطينية وبعض المسؤولين العرب بالتشدد في مواقفهم تجاه اسرائيل لمساعدة اوباما في الضغط عليها اثناء تصديه لنتنياهو في اللقاء الاول، ولكن هؤلاء لم يلبوا هذا الطلب، حتى ان السيد سلام فياض رئيس الوزراء الفلسطيني قرر ان يقدم هدية قيمة لنتنياهو قبل لقائه الرئيس اوباما الاخير باجتماعه في القدس المحتلة مع ايهود باراك وزير الدفاع لارسال رسالة للادارة الامريكية بانه لا يوجد خلاف بين هذه الحكومة اليمينية المتطرفة والجانب الفلسطيني، 'والامور سمن على عسل' ولا داعي لاي ضغوط على نتنياهو فالرجل صديق للفلسطينيين متعطش للسلام معهم.

نجد لزاما علينا ان نلفت الانتباه الى عدة نقاط اساسية قبل بدء المفاوضات المباشرة، وهي ان الرئيس الفلسطيني محمود عباس لا يتمتع بالتفويض او الشرعية لتمثيل الشعب الفلسطيني في هذه المفاوضات، والتوصل الى اتفاق مع الاسرائيليين، لان ولايته انتهت قبل عام ونصف العام، واللجنة التنفيذية لمنظمة التحرير الفلسطينية منتهية الصلاحية، وكذلك الحال بالنسبة للوزارة ورئيسها سلام فياض.
تمثيل الشعب الفلسطيني في مفاوضات الحل النهائي او الوصول الى دولة مستقلة يتطلب توافقا فلسطينيا، ومرجعية شرعية منتخبة، وهذا غير متوفر حاليا، ولا يجوز ان يقرر بضعة اشخاص مصير شعب والتحدث باسمه، في ظل غياب كامل للشفافية والمحاسبة من قبل المؤسسات الشرعية المنتخبة.
الممثل الحقيقي للشعب الفلسطيني هو الذي يساهم في عزلة اسرائيل، وتشديد الخناق عليها اقليميا ودوليا، وفضح جرائمها، والانتصار لدماء ضحايا مجازرها، اما من يلقي لها طوق النجاة، ويكسر عزلتها فلا يمكن ان يتحدث باسم هذا الشعب او يتشرف بتمثيله والتوصل الى اي اتفاقات باسمه.
