Ahead of Egypt visit, Obama eyed with suspicion

"A new poll suggests that only 39 percent of Egyptians have some or a lot of confidence that Obama will do the right thing in international affairs.

Although the percentage is seen as a major ratio jump compared to the eight percent who viewed his predecessor George W. Bush positively in January 2008, it shows that President Obama has a difficult task ahead of him in Egypt.

"Egyptians appear to be saying to Obama, 'Show me you are really different,'" Steven Kull, director of WorldPublicOpinion.org, told AFP on Tuesday.

The poll of 600 urban Egyptians was conducted in face-to-face interviews between April 25 and May 12, and has a 4.1 percent margin of error......."
