"في العاصمة الروسية قال المعارض السوري ميشيل كيلو إن الجانب الروسي ليس متمسكا بالرئيس السوري بشار وهو يريد الوصول الى نظام ديمقراطي .جاء ذلك عقب لقاء كيلو وزير الخارجية الروسي سيرغي لافروف. كما كان كيلو قد قال سابقا إن العميد مناف طلاس الذي انشق قبل أيام عن النظام يمكن أن يكون شخصية مقبولة لترأس الحكومة الانتقالية

This is horrible and should be categorically rejected by all.
Abdel-Bari Atwan speculated a few days ago that Mr. Tlass was being prepared to head a so-called transitional government. This trip to Moscow and the new "optimism" by Annan after his talks with the Butcher of Damascus, all seem to indicate that this is the plan.
Russia, the US, and the Butcher agree to the plan. The Syrian people should reject it unequivocally. This is maintaining the regime as is but sidelining the Butcher (perhaps temporarily).
This sounds just like the betrayal of the Yemeni revolution.
