Nunu: PA's confusion over declaring independence reflects failure of negotiation

"GAZA, (PIC)-- The PA caretaker government said the confusion of the PA leadership over declaring Palestine as an independent state, after Yasser Abed Rabbo, the secretary-general of PLO's executive committee, announced the PA's intention to declare one-sided independence, reflects the crisis it reached after the failure of its negotiation policy.

In a press release to the Palestine newspaper published on Thursday, Taher Al-Nunu, the spokesman for the government, underlined that this state of indecisiveness came after the frivolous negotiation with the Israeli occupation proved its failure and after the PA negotiator made a lot of concessions to Israel and collaborated with it against the Palestinian resistance.

Nunu added that all these attempts made by the PA negotiator did not appease the Israeli occupation which is not satisfied with all the concessions made, but wants all the Palestinian lands and rights and to turn the PA into its subordinate.

The spokesman stated that Abed Rabbo does not represent the Palestinian people in any way and his statements are the result of the PA's political bankruptcy."
