Hamas advisor: Meshal survived several attempts on his life lately

"Hamas political leader Khaled Meshal has recently survived several assassination attempts, an advisor to Ismail Haniyeh told the London-based Arab newspaper Asharq Alawsat on Sunday.

Ahmad Yusuf accused "Arab intelligence organizations" of providing Israel and the U.S. with information about the whereabouts of Hamas commanders in Syria, including Meshal and his deputy Musa Abu Marzuk.

Yusuf said the information included protocols of their moves, the cars they have been using, their dwelling and interview schedules.

He added that "every Hamas official could potentially become a martyr." When asked if it had led to growing anxiety among the Hamas leadership, he said that "it all comes down to Allah." "
