"Riding off the waves of protest and uprising throughout the Arab world, a Palestinian movement to demand elections and fair representation is gaining momentum. Here in Washington, the US Palestinian Community Network have gathered outside the PLO office to present a symbolic 'pink slip' to the Palestinian Authority in a call for its termination.
The call comes after the release of the so-called Palestine Papers which exposed major concessions by the Palestinian Authority to Israel behind closed doors. The revelations have caused outrage amongst Palestinians.
In addition to the termination of the Palestinian Authority, protesters made a list of other demands from the PLO which they tried to deliver in person.
Protesters here attempted to deliver a termination slip of the Palestinian Authority to PLO offices but were met with closed doors.
Press TV also attempted to contact the PLO but there was no response. Yet these protesters are determined for their voices to be heard and major government changes in Palestine to be made."
