"01/09/2009 Visiting EU foreign policy chief Javier Solana Tuesday urged the Lebanese to form the new cabinet as soon as possible in view of regional situation and the economic crisis, the official National News Agency reported.
Solana, who is on his Middle East tour for resumption of stalled Israeli-Palestinian peace talks, met Lebanese President Michel Sleiman who said that he hopes US and European initiatives aiming to revive the Mideast peace process would address Israeli violations of Lebanon's land, soil and airspace as well as its occupation of Lebanese territory. Sleiman emphasized the necessity of granting Palestinians the right of return, since "any Mideast solution that fails to give this right" to the Palestinians "would instigate problems in the region."......"
