"Bethlehem – Ma'an – An Israeli intelligence report has suggested that Syria, Iran and Hezbollah are coordinating to form a joint front, fearing that war could erupt over the summer between Syria and Israel.
During Wednesday's news bulletin, Israeli TV reported that Syria "planned to complete training of its military forces within 8 months".
Israeli Channel 2 showed pictures of Israeli military tanks "ready for any possible Syrian attack".
Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has called on the Israeli cabinet to begin peace negotiations with the Syrian authorities.
The report however, also quoted Olmert as telling ministers that "Syria had refused his call".
Channel 2 also quoted Shaul Mofaz, former Chief of Staff and Minister of Defense (although now Minister of Transport), claiming that Syria possesses long range missiles "which can hit Jerusalem in case war erupted"."
