"Murat Karayilan, the leader of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) is based in the Qandil Mountains of northern Iraq's semi-autonomous Kurdistan region. Karayilan's group has been fighting for Kurdish rights in Turkey and seeking refuge in Iraqi Kurdistan. The Kurds say the Arab uprisings have inspired them and provided an opportunity to achieve their own goals. Al Jazeera's Hoda Abdel-Hamid reports from a PKK camp in Iraqi Kurdistan."
