Al-Jazeera Video: Rebels claim control of strategic Syrian town

"A fierce battle has been raging in Syria's Idlib province for control of a strategically important town.

Rebels forces say they hold all but three checkpoints in Maarat al-Numan.

The Syrian army has been trying to block rebels from entering or leaving the town, which is on the main highway to the country's commercial hub, Aleppo.
