"Syrian forces have stepped up its attacks on several provinces, pounding opposition strongholds in Aleppo, Hama and Homs and Damascus.
New reinforcements arrived to Marat Numan in Idlib province, where street battles have been raging for days.
In Homs, the Syrian army says it's retaken the strategic Khalidiyah district, a statement rejected by the rebels.
Meanwhile, Aleppo took the brunt as anti-government forces held their position and Assad forces attempted to storm the rebel-held areas.
