Jebril: Abbas and Fayyadh derive legitimacy from USA and Israel

"DAMASCUS, (PIC)-- Ahmad Jebril, one of the veteran PLO leaders and secretary-general of the PFLP-GC said on Sunday that PA chief Mahmoud Abbas and head of the PA "illegitimate" government Salam Fayyadh were deriving their legitimacy from the USA, Israel, and a number of Arab countries conniving with them.

In an interview with the London-based Al-Quds Al-Arabi newspaper, Jebril affirmed that both "Abbas and Fayyadh don’t enjoy a bit of respect among the Palestinian people in the homeland or the diaspora".

"Where do they (Abbas and Fayyadh) derive their legitimacy from? It is clear that they derive it from their warm relations with the USA, Israel, and a number of Arab countries collaborating against the Palestinian people", Gerbil underlined.

He also advised Abbas not to fall in the US-Israeli trap, and urged him to tell the Americans that "The Palestinian legal rights that had been given up in Oslo accord were more than enough".

The PLO leader also accused close associates of the late PA leader Yasser Arafat of poisoning him in connivance with the Israeli external intelligence department (the Mossad), unveiling that he keeps names of a number of Arafat's associates suspected of having a hand in poisoning Arafat.

He also warned that he will "reveal names of Fatah leaders involved in Arafat's killing if they (the killers) attempted to deny it.

In this concern, Jebril called in the international community, Arab and Muslim countries to immediately mobilize to unveil real reasons behind Arafat's death.

"The entire world was mobilized to uncover identities of the killers of [the late Lebanese premier Rafeek] Al-Hariri; yet no one had thought to seriously investigate the killing of Arafat", Jebril was quoted as stating in the interview."
