Israeli Experts Demand Lebanese Partners Get Missiles

Al-Manar

"14/04/2008 Israeli daily “Haaretz” said that Hezbollah’s military training is “focused today on launching rockets towards Israeli settlements where chemical materials in high amount are stored, in order to cause massive human and material losses to Israel.”

The daily said that Hezbollah bombed the northern area with missiles for 33 consecutive days and the Israeli army failed to stop them or retaliate properly. According to Haaretz, this has urged Israeli army experts to demand that “their partners in Lebanon be handed developed anti-tank missiles and long range missiles that can hit Hezbollah’s vital regions. Israeli political experts argued that in case Syria cooperated with Hezbollah in the next war or during the anticipated revenge for the assassination of Hezbollah's top military commander martyr Imad Moghniyeh, the two sides (Hezbollah and Syria) would effectively be able to cover most of the Israeli settlements with missiles.

Haaretz reported that most Israeli leaders, including Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Defense Minister Ehud Barak and Minister of National Infrastructure Binyamin Ben-Eliezer, are expecting colossal damage in the Home-Front if the status quo remained unchanged. The Israeli daily continued to say that many in Israel are calling on the army to use all the required means to end the next and expected battle as soon as possible. "
