The bipartisan line-up ---which includes economic recovery adviser Paul A. Volcker and former national security advisers Brent Scowcroft and Zbigniew Brzezinski--- said US President Barack Obama should start negotiating with all Palestinian factions including Hamas.
"I see no reason not to talk to Hamas," said Scowcroft, who was national security adviser to President George H.W. Bush. "The main gist is that you need to push hard on the Palestinian peace process."......." [COMMENT: The goal is to drag Hamas into the "peace process" and to trap it into endless "negotiations" just as Arafat was trapped and duped. Nothing good for the Palestinians will come out of this. It is more of the same: back to the future.]
